Christie for prez???? Is he a “closet liberal”???? Or, is he REALLY in the closet at all?

ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION – he insists that being in the country illegally is not a crime but an “administrative matter” (????). Christie’s record on illegal immigration as a U.S. Attorney in New Jersey, the job he held before he became governor, is lax at best. Back in 2008, Bill Tucker, a producer on Lou Dobbs’s now-deceased CNN show, could only find THIRTEEN illegal-immigration cases prosecuted by Christie’s office between 2002 and 2007. THIRTEEN IN FIVE YEARS?!?! Tucker compared that to the U.S. Attorney’s office in Kansas, which, despite a much smaller population, prosecuted 597 cases in the same time period. That folks, makes me go hmmmm.

GUN CONTROL – Christie – “at the end of the day, what I support are common sense laws (????) that will allow people to protect themselves, but I also am very concerned about the safety of our police officers on the streets, very concerned. And I want to make sure that we don’t have an abundance (????) of guns out there”. Abundance? Define abundance. Does that mean the legal holders will have theirs snatched while the criminals still have theirs? WTH does THAT actually mean?!?!

CLIMATE CHANGE – Chris Christie, after going back and forth on the issue a bit, said just this August that “climate change is real” and “human activity plays a role in these changes.” As for those scheming scientists, Christie said that “when you have over 90 percent of the world’s scientists who have studied this stating that climate change is occurring and that humans play a contributing role, it’s time to defer to the experts.” OMG!! Is he an Al Gore clone?!?!

MUSLIMS – When WE THE PEOPLE, nationwide, criticised Christie on his appointing a radical muslim judge (one that had offered to defend any 9/11 muslim attackers for free!!), Christie had a press conference and said this about us….”It’s just crazy, and I’m tired of dealing with crazies”. Okie dokie. WE, the electorate, are CRAZY? WE THE PEOPLE, are CRAZY?!?!

Choices folks, we all have choices. PLEASE base those choices on FACT.

Ah. And so it begins (again). After months of will-he-won’t-he speculation about Republican Flavor of the Nanosecond, Chris Christie, and following the public (and kind of creepy) courtship dance performed by uber-rightwing Bill Kristol, the Jerseypunk Governor sticks his toe in the water and the lunatic right discovers he’s not sufficiently pure in his commitment to insanity. Well THAT didn’t take long.

One piece of evidence of Christie’s heterodoxy: He thinks science confirms climate change (WITCH!). More evidence? Christie supports reasonable limits on gun ownership and use (NAZI!). More? As U.S. Attorney for New Jersey, Christie only prosecuted 13 illegal immigration cases and has indicated that he believes we should not treat undocumented workers as criminals (uhhhh…ANTIAMERICAN[?]…INSUFFICIENTLY HATEFUL[?]…KENYAN ANTICOLONIALIST!)

Republicans who know there is a real opportunity to beat Obama are desperate to find a way to save the party from its own base; they know the base cannot fall in love with Romney, but they also know the rest of the field is about as electable as Noam Chomsky would be for the Dems.

Meanwhile, the teaparty cannibals are determined to kill off anyone with a passing connection to reality. HYSTERICAL!

Nothing works better to keep these knee-jerkoffs from gaining ground than publicizing their own self-annihilating behavior.
